When does driving matter most? When you are driving for good. One test drive in the new SantaFe can deliver one hot meal to someone in need, or a quick spin in the new Elantra can help save three lives.

For each test drive in any new car at Rosenthal Hyundai during the month of August, their team will donate an hour of their time to locals in need of a hot meal for meals on wheels, or life saving blood, plasma and platelets to the Red Cross.

If you buy a new car during the month of August, there are already 100 reasons to smile – but the best bit is you can share yours by you helping to make a sick child smile by granting them a wish or giving a cancer patient confidence again, helping to keep the royal flying doctor flying to the Riverland, giving a struggling local support in their time of need, or by giving a domestic violence sufferer hope when all seems lost.

WHY WE'RE DOING IT

We never know what our future holds, or when we might be the ones in need so that’s why we’ve decided to give back to those in need during the month of August.

Not only does donating our time to worthy causes help say thank you to our local community that have so loyally supported us for over 110 years, it also helps foster a great sense of pride and team spirit to our staff if they choose to participate.

CHARITIES

Make a Wish Foundation - Riverland

Putting a smile on the face of a sick child with the Make a Wish Foundation – Riverland is close to our hearts as one of our previous staff members had a wish granted recently for their sick child.

Royal Flying Doctor Service

The Royal Flying Doctor Service flies to the Riverland at least twice per day, and in the past two years it has flown members of our staff or their loved ones five times alone.

Too many Riverlanders are touched by Cancer, but the Caroline Bristow Wig Library is helping to renew sense of self to those affected by chemotherapy, and we think this is an amazing initiative.

Riverland Domestic Violence Service

Domestic Violence is often silent, and being able to help give someone a safe place to go, toiletries, food and toys to children in their darkest hour is something we think is vital in our community.

Beyond Blue

It’s no secret that the Riverland is going through some tough times. 6 people die by suicide every day, up to 1 in 5 people will suffer from depression or anxiety in their lifetime. Being able to give someone the help they need, when they need it is close to our hearts.

Australian Red Cross Blood Service

People of all walks of life need blood products. Some need it to get them through a serious event in their lives, like cancer or a difficult pregnancy. Others have medical conditions which mean they need blood products regularly to stay alive or be healthy.

Meals on Wheels

The 15,000 volunteers who make Meals on Wheels possible, deliver 2 million meals a year across Queensland, to more than 10,000 people with a wide variety of support needs, not just meals for seniors. People may be; in their senior years, recovering after hospitalisation, a major illness or surgery, a person with a disability, a carer, or needing assistance due to a special circumstance.
